Where OnlyCheckboxes fits best

  • A solo operator who wants recurring home and work routines without building a project-management system.
  • A maintained checklist template with clean, separately reviewable attempts.
  • Mobile-first routine setup, completion, context, and review.

Where Asana fits best

  • Cross-functional projects with owners, collaborators, approvals, and dependencies.
  • Managers who need portfolios, goals, workload, forms, rules, or organization-wide reporting.
  • Larger teams that need mature integrations and enterprise controls.

Moving from Asana

OnlyCheckboxes does not promise a one-click importer. A careful move starts with the recurring work that matters most.

  1. Export the useful Asana projects, Search Views, or My Tasks lists as CSV or JSON.
  2. Turn the repeatable processes into OnlyCheckboxes templates and map subtasks to checklist steps.
  3. Rebuild recurrence and date placement. Comments, rules, dependencies, forms, goals, portfolios, and custom-field logic will not map directly.
